The neighbourhood of Rosedale can be found in the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Rosedale is amenable to biking. It is also easy for pedestrians to move around in Rosedale; many daily needs can be carried out without having to resort to a vehicle. This area is very car friendly. It is convenient to come across a parking spot, and nearby highways, such as Red Hill Valley Parkway, are reasonably easy to drive to from anywhere in Rosedale. On the other hand, Rosedale is not especially transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is typically very close.

Services

It is convenient to access the nearest supermarket on foot in this part of Hamilton. Residents can enjoy a few restaurants and coffee shops as well. Regarding education, parents and their kids will value that no matter where their home is situated in this part of the city, daycares and primary schools are close by. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Rosedale.

Character

Rosedale is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. This area is quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case around the railway line or Red Hill Valley Parkway. Lastly, the majority of locations in the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to parks, like Rosedale Park and Escarpment Ward 5, since a lot of houses for sale have one nearby and there are a few public green spaces close by for residents to check out.

Housing

Most homes in Rosedale were built pre-1960, during its main building boom. The predominant housing types in this area are single detached homes and townhouses. Homeowners occupy about 80% of the properties in the neighbourhood and the rest are rented. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
