Transportation

Newcastle is an extremely good part of Clarington for getting around by car. Finding a parking spot is easy, and it is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Highway 35 & 115, from any location in this area. On the other hand, the public transit system in Newcastle is not very convenient. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. It is difficult for people travelling on foot to move around in this part of Clarington since running daily errands is inconvenient. The bike is a sometimes poor means of transportation in this area as the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and the topography is not particularly flat.

Services
