Located within the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area, Uptown is a neighbourhood in Burlington, Ontario.

Transportation

Uptown is a fairly pleasant part of Burlington for pedestrians; many daily needs can be met on foot. Uptown is also quite cycling-friendly as riding a bicycle is made easier by the generally flat terrain, and the bicycling network is well-developed. The public transit system in this part of Burlington is not very convenient. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. On the other hand, the favoured mode of transportation in Uptown is very often a car. Many houses for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, and coming across a parking spot is easy.

Services

The closest grocery store in this neighbourhood is typically only a short walk away. Moreover, there are a fair number of choices in close proximity for those who value restaurants and cafes. With respect to education, it is a reasonably short walk to get to daycares and schools from most properties for sale in this area.
