Credit Valley

The neighbourhood of Credit Valley is part of the city of Brampton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a fairly good transportation option in this part of the city. It is easy to park. In contrast, travelling by transit can be difficult in this part of the city due to the low service level. Thankfully, there are approximately 10 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most houses. This part of Brampton is not especially cycling-friendly because there are a fair number of slopes for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling network is not particularly well-developed. Walking is also not particularly practical for residents in Credit Valley since running daily errands is at times challenging on foot.

Services

Some, but not all, property owners in Credit Valley will live within walking distance of the closest grocery store. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. With regards to education, it is a short walk to access primary schools from anywhere in Credit Valley. In contrast, families may find it difficult to get to high schools on foot. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and high schools.

Character

Credit Valley is a great neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This area is wonderful for those who like quiet surroundings, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Lastly, it is very easy to get to green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are about 30 of them nearby for residents to enjoy.

Housing

The predominant housing types in Credit Valley are single detached homes and townhouses. This part of the city offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Nearly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 10% are renters. Most of the housing growth in this part of Brampton has occurred following the year 2000.
