Lake Vista is a neighbourhood within Ajax, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a very good transportation option in this part of Ajax. It is easy to park, and many real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway. However, this area is not an especially pleasant part of Ajax for travelling by public transit. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. This area is bike-friendly. However, walking in this neighbourhood is not very popular, even though many common errands can be run on foot.

Services

Daycares and schools are very easy to walk to from anywhere in this part of the town. In terms of eating, getting to the nearest grocery store on foot is possible for some, but not all, property owners in Lake Vista. Conversely, a cafe is often just around the corner, and there are also a limited number of options for those who appreciate restaurants in close proximity.

Character

The character of Lake Vista is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. Lake Vista is very quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Green spaces aren't well-spread out, which makes it very hard to get to them.

Housing

Small apartment buildings are the predominant housing type, representing about one quarter of buildings in Lake Vista, while the remainder are mainly single detached homes and townhouses. This part of the town offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly three quarters of the units in Lake Vista whereas renters occupy the remainder.
