Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Russell Lake is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Russell Lake is an extremely convenient part of Halifax for moving around by car. It is a very short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and parking is easy. However, the public transit network in Russell Lake is rather poor. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Russell Lake is not particularly bicycling-friendly as there are a fair number of hills, and the cycling infrastructure is not especially comprehensive. It is also sometimes challenging for people travelling on foot to move around in this part of the municipality as carrying out daily needs is at times difficult.

Services

In Russell Lake, parents and their children will commonly be able to reach daycares on foot. However, Russell Lake does not contain any primary schools or high schools. Concerning food, it is straightforward to reach the closest supermarket on foot from anywhere in this area. Additionally, a coffee shop is on average a reasonably short stroll away, and there are also a few restaurants in this part of Halifax.
