The community of North Preston can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in North Preston. It is especially convenient to find a place to park. On the other hand, public transit riders may have few options in this community by reason of the low service level. Thankfully, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most homes. The bike is a quite poor method of transportation in North Preston as the cycling network is not very comprehensive, and there are a fair number of slopes for cyclists to brave. Many of the houses for sale in this part of the municipality are located in places that are also not very suitable for walking since almost no daily needs can be met by walking.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are very easy to get to on foot from most houses for sale in this area. On the other hand, this part of Halifax does not contain any high schools. In terms of food, a car is almost always needed in this community to reach the nearest supermarket.
