Housing

In Lakeview, the overwhelming majority of buildings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Roughly one quarter of properties in this area were constructed between 1980 and 1990, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This part of Halifax is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 85% of the population of this community own their home and renters make up the remainder.
