The community of Halibut Bay is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Commuting by car is very easy in this area. It is especially convenient to find a place to park. Halibut Bay is not very amenable to biking because the bicycling network is quite poor, and riding is rendered strenuous by the often hilly terrain. Most houses for sale in this part of the municipality are located in areas that are also not very convenient for walking since almost no daily needs can be met without the use of a vehicle.
