Central Bedford is a neighbourhood within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Central Bedford is very car friendly. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from any home in this part of Halifax, and it is very convenient to come across a place to park. On the other hand, Central Bedford is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. A majority of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are not especially convenient for those who travel by foot because few common errands can be run without needing to resort to a car. Travelling by bicycle is also at times difficult in Central Bedford as riding is rendered strenuous by the typically hilly area, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.

Services

Daycares and primary schools are convenient to walk to from anywhere in this part of Halifax. However, this part of Halifax does not have any high schools.
