Part of the Greater Truro metropolitan area, Upper Onslow is a neighbourhood within Colchester Subdivision B, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The preferred approach to move around in Upper Onslow is usually a car. It is very convenient to park, and many properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 104. Upper Onslow is not very cycling-friendly since the topography is not very flat, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive. This part of the subdivision of a county municipality is also not very convenient for those who travel by foot because running daily errands is impractical by walking.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Upper Onslow. Additionally, daycares are not numerous and consequently may require a very long walk to get to. As far as food is concerned, home buyers in this area almost always have to turn to a vehicle to shop for their groceries.
