The community of Grand Desert can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the best transportation option in this part of the municipality. It is especially convenient to park. Grand Desert is not very suited for biking as there are a fair number of slopes, and the bicycling network is quite bad. It is also very inconvenient for pedestrians to move around in this part of the municipality as almost no common errands can be run without needing to use a car.

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Grand Desert. In terms of food, a vehicle is almost always required in this part of Halifax to access the closest grocery store.

Character

The character of Grand Desert is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. Most areas in Grand Desert are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
