The community of Round Island is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in this community. It is very convenient to access a place to park. Round Island is not very well-suited for walking as running daily errands is nearly impossible by walking. It is also sometimes difficult to travel by bicycle in this part of the municipality as the terrain is not particularly flat, and the cycling infrastructure is quite bad.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the municipality. Regarding eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a car is required in Round Island to access the nearest supermarket.

Character

Round Island is a very good community to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This area is very quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, although Round Island is not home to any green spaces, parks are especially well-situated in nearby communities, making them very easy to get to.
