Situated within the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Islandview is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Islandview is very car friendly. It is very easy to park. Travelling on foot is not very practical for home buyers in this part of Cape Breton Municipality as almost no common errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle. Islandview is also not very amenable to cycling as the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and riding a bike is rendered strenuous by the typically hilly topography.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Islandview. Likewise, daycares are not numerous and consequently tend to require a very long walk to get to. When it comes to eating, in all cases, a vehicle is needed to shop for groceries.

The character of Islandview is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere.
