Part of the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Grand Mira South is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Driving is usually the favoured approach to navigate Grand Mira South. Parking is generally easy. Commuting by bicycle is very hard in Grand Mira South since there are a good number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and this community has a quite poor cycling infrastructure. Most homes for sale in this area are located in places that are also not very suitable for those who travel by foot because running daily errands is nearly impossible by walking.

Services

It is very rarely practical for property owners in this part of the municipality to do grocery shopping by walking. Concerning education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this community.

Character

The character of Grand Mira South is exemplified by its calm ambience. It is very easy to get to public green spaces in the community, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in and most houses have a park around the corner. The noise levels in this part of the municipality are also very low, as the streets are especially tranquil.

Housing

Single detached homes and row houses are the predominant housing type in Grand Mira South.
