Glace Bay

The community of Glace Bay is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Travelling by car is easy in this part of Cape Breton Municipality. It is very convenient to park. Getting around by bicycle is difficult in this part of Cape Breton Municipality as the area is not particularly flat, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive. Travelling on foot is also not very feasible for residents in Glace Bay as few daily needs can be met by walking.

Services

In Glace Bay, families will typically be able to get to primary schools on foot. On the other hand, there are only a very small number of high schools and consequently they can be a very long walk away. Regarding eating, in vast majority cases, a vehicle is needed in this area to access the closest grocery store.
