Part of the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Dutch Brook is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Driving is a great medium of transportation in Dutch Brook. Parking is generally easy. Dutch Brook is not especially cycling-friendly since there are very few bike lanes, and there are a good number of hills. This area is also not very well-suited for walking because almost no daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Dutch Brook. With regards to food, in all cases, a car is required in this area to access the closest supermarket.

Character

Dutch Brook offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This community is very good for those who like quiet surroundings, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, there are a few public green spaces close by for residents to discover, which makes them very easy to reach.

Housing

The large percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Dutch Brook is an important part of its character.
