Big Pond

The community of Big Pond is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent means of transportation in Big Pond. Parking is easy. This area is not very appropriate for bicycling as there are very few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of slopes to challenge cyclists. Big Pond is also not very suitable for those who travel by foot as meeting daily needs is practically impossible.

Services

Big Pond does not have any high schools or primary schools. When it comes to eating, a car is almost always needed in this part of Cape Breton Municipality to access the closest grocery store.

Character

Big Pond is a fairly good community to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. Public green spaces are very easy to get to, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit and the majority of homes for sale have a park around the corner. This community is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
