The community of Reserve Mines can be found in the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Commuting by car is straightforward in this community. It is very convenient to come across a place to park. Walking is not very practical for home buyers in this community as very few daily needs can be carried out without the use of a car. Bicycling is also challenging in Reserve Mines as the topography is not especially flat, and the cycling network is quite bad.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to get to primary schools from anywhere in Reserve Mines. In contrast, Reserve Mines does not have any high schools. With regards to eating, in all cases, a car is needed to do groceries. That being said, a coffee shop is commonly just around the corner, and there are a few options for those who appreciate restaurants within walking distance.

Character

Reserve Mines offers a calm environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. Most areas in this area are especially quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - however noise can be problematic near the airport (Sydney/J.A. Douglas McCurdy Airport). Lastly, there are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to explore, such as Reserve Mines Legacy Park, making them easy to get to.
