Part of the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Howie Centre is a community within Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The car is very often the preferred approach to move around in Howie Centre. It is especially convenient to park. Howie Centre is not very appropriate for cycling as there are very few bike lanes, and there are a good number of elevation changes. This community is also not very conducive to those who travel by foot because running common errands is very inconvenient by walking.

Services

It is a rather short walk to reach primary schools from any location in Howie Centre. In contrast, there are no high schools in Howie Centre. With respect to food, house buyers in this community almost always have to use a car to reach the closest grocery store.
