Situated within the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Benacadie is a community in Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in Benacadie. Finding a parking spot is quite easy. Biking is very hard in this community because there are very few bike lanes, and cyclists encounter a considerable amount of hills. This community is also not very suitable for walking as running daily errands is nearly impossible.

Services

Benacadie does not contain any high schools or primary schools. With respect to food, a car is almost always needed in this part of the municipality to access the closest supermarket.

Character

Benacadie is a very good community to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. The noise levels in this part of the municipality are very low, as the streets tend to be very tranquil. Finally, although Benacadie does not contain any public green spaces, parks are few and far between in nearby communities, which makes them very easy to get to.

Housing

The sizeable percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Benacadie is an important part of its character. Roughly one third of properties in this area were constructed prior to the 1960s, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s.
