Transportation

North Transcona Yards is an extremely good part of Winnipeg for getting around by car. Nearby highways are quite easy to reach from any home in this part of Winnipeg, and it is very convenient to access a parking spot. However, travelling by transit can be very difficult in North Transcona Yards by reason of the service's low frequency. Walking is not very practical for residents in this area as very few common errands can be run on foot. In contrast, this part of Winnipeg is quite bicycling-friendly because there are a limited number of elevation changes.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in North Transcona Yards. Furthermore, daycares are not particularly abundant and accordingly not always within walking distance. In terms of eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is required to purchase groceries.

Character

North Transcona Yards offers a great variety of green spaces to enjoy. Although this part of Winnipeg does not contain any parks, green spaces are especially well-located in nearby neighbourhoods, making it easy to get to them. Due to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets, this part of the city is relatively serene.
