Westhill is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

The best way to move around in this neighbourhood is usually a car. It is especially convenient to park, and most homes for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. In contrast, the public transit service in Westhill is not very frequent. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Westhill is not very conducive to walking as running day-to-day errands is occasionally challenging on foot. Westhill is also not very amenable to biking since the cycling network is not very well-developed, and riding is rendered arduous by the typically steep terrain. Nonetheless, a fair number of families decide to travel by bike.

Services

It is very rarely feasible for home buyers in Westhill to buy groceries by walking. Regarding education, families will find that no matter where their property is situated in this part of West Vancouver, both primary and secondary schools are close by. On the other hand, there are only a very small number of daycares and thus they can be a very long walk away.

The buildings in this area are quite new, because around one third of its dwellings were built in the 1990s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
