False Creek is a neighbourhood within Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is a great area with regards to travelling without a car. False Creek is especially convenient for walking; all daily needs can be carried out on foot, and plenty of businesses are very close by. A large number of residents in the area use their bicycle as the cycling network is very extensive, and there is always a bike-share station in proximity. Homeowners can depend on public transit to get around in False Creek thanks to various nearby rapid transit stations on the Canada Line and Expo Line, and about 10 nearby bus lines. On the other hand, cars are a fairly poor mode of transportation in False Creek as it is very difficult to park.

Parents and their schoolchildren will welcome the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from the majority of homes for sale in False Creek. In False Creek, roughly three quarters of buildings are large apartment buildings, while small apartment buildings are the main alternative in the housing stock. This neighbourhood experienced its most significant construction boom following the year 2000, so most of the available housing is from this time period. This area offers mainly two bedroom and one bedroom homes. The population residing in this neighbourhood is evenly split between owners and renters.
