The majority of homes for sale are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and parking is quite easy. On the other hand, Eagle Harbour is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. This neighbourhood is not very suitable for walking as almost no common errands can be run on foot. Although bicycling is more feasible in some pockets than others, this neighbourhood is also not particularly conducive to cycling since there are quite a few hills, and Eagle Harbour is home to a rather poor bicycling infrastructure.

Character

Eagle Harbour is a good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. This part of West Vancouver is quiet overall, as the streets tend to be peaceful - although there are still several louder areas, especially closer to Trans-Canada Highway, Highway 99 or the railway line. Lastly, there are about 10 parks nearby for residents to visit, which results in them being easy to access from most locations within Eagle Harbour.

Housing

The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Eagle Harbour is an important part of its character. About one third of homes in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of West Vancouver is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Nearly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder.
