The neighbourhood of South Alouette is part of the city of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in this part of Maple Ridge. It is very convenient to access a parking spot. However, the public transit system in South Alouette is not very practical. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and it is straightforward to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. It is inconvenient for people walking to navigate this neighbourhood because meeting daily needs is occasionally difficult on foot. However, cycling is convenient in South Alouette.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to get to daycares and primary schools from anywhere in this part of Maple Ridge. However, there are no high schools in South Alouette. When it comes to eating, accessing the nearest supermarket by walking is possible for some, but not all, property owners in this area.

Character

The character of South Alouette is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. The noise levels in this part of Maple Ridge are low, as the streets are quite calm. Finally, parks, including Jerry Sulina, are especially well-located and there are a few of them close by for residents to check out, making them easy to get to.

Housing

Roughly 90% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this part of Maple Ridge. Roughly 40% of homes in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
