The neighbourhood of North Slope is part of the city of Nanaimo, British Columbia, which is located in the Greater Nanaimo metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent medium of transportation in North Slope. It is very easy to park. In contrast, getting around by public transit is difficult in North Slope. Thankfully, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are generally nearby. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are not very conducive to walking since running daily errands is inconvenient on foot. The bicycle is a somewhat poor method of transportation in North Slope because there is a significant amount of hills, and the cycling network is not very well-developed.

Services

In all cases, a vehicle is required in this part of the city to reach the nearest supermarket. A limited selection of restaurants can be found in this area. Regarding education, it is a reasonably short walk to access primary schools and daycares from most homes for sale in North Slope. However, there are no high schools in this part of Nanaimo.
