Diver Lake is a neighbourhood within Nanaimo, British Columbia, which is located in the Greater Nanaimo metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in Diver Lake. It is very easy to access a place to park, and most homes for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway. On the other hand, the public transit service in Diver Lake is not very frequent. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and it is very easy to find a nearby bus stop from most homes. Physically active people will value the bike-friendly nature of Diver Lake. More precisely, the cycling infrastructure is fairly good. Travelling on foot is not especially practical for residents in this area as running daily errands is occasionally challenging by walking.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to get to daycares and schools from anywhere in this neighbourhood. With respect to food, reaching the closest grocery store on foot is practical for some, but not all, property owners in this part of the city. A limited selection of restaurants and coffee shops is available as well.

Character

The character of Diver Lake is exemplified by its relaxed environment. This area is very quiet overall, as the streets are usually very calm. Finally, there are around 20 public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, like Northfield Rotary Lookout Park and Diver Lake Park, and they are very well-distributed, which makes them easy to get to.

Housing

In Diver Lake, roughly 60% of dwellings are single detached homes, and the remainder are mainly duplexes and townhouses. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around three quarters of the dwellings in Diver Lake whereas the rest are rented.
