Situated within the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Deep Cove is a neighbourhood within District of North Vancouver, British Columbia.

Transportation

Driving is a reasonably good transportation option in this part of the municipality. It is convenient to park. However, travelling by public transit is challenging in Deep Cove. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. It is inconvenient for pedestrians to navigate Deep Cove as meeting daily needs is difficult on foot. On the other hand, a good number of residents in the area use their bike because the cycling infrastructure is reasonably comprehensive.

Services

It is very rarely practical for house buyers in Deep Cove to buy groceries on foot. Furthermore, a cafe is often just around the corner, and there are also a limited number of options for those who appreciate close by restaurants. As far as education is concerned, it is a short walk to get to daycares and schools from any location in Deep Cove.

Character

Deep Cove is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. This part of the municipality is especially quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, it is very easy to get to parks in the neighbourhood, since the majority of homes have one nearby and there are around 10 green spaces close by for residents to unwind in.

Housing

In Deep Cove, roughly half of buildings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and duplexes. About 30% of properties in this area were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of District of North Vancouver also has a good selection of housing size options; it is quite easy to find homes ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Roughly three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder.
