Big Bend is a neighbourhood within Burnaby, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Big Bend presents home buyers with the choice between a variety of means of transportation. Cars are an excellent transportation option in this part of Burnaby. It is a rather short car ride to the closest highway from any home in Big Bend, and it is very convenient to park. The good public transit access allows people to get to many destinations without needing a vehicle as a result of a few nearby bus lines. Walking is not very popular in Big Bend, although many common errands can be run on foot. In contrast, it is convenient to commute by bike in this area because the bicycling network is quite well-developed.

Services

Parents and their children will find that wherever their home is located in Big Bend, primary schools are close by. On the other hand, there are only a few high schools and therefore they can be a long walk away. With regards to food, a portion of home buyers in Big Bend may be able to travel to the nearest supermarket on foot, while others will have to use another means of transportation.
