Transportation

Whatcom is especially car friendly. Many homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and accessing a place to park is quite easy. In contrast, the public transit network in Whatcom is rather limited. Nonetheless, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally very close. This area is not very suitable for walking as few daily errands can be run without having to resort to a car. Commuting by bicycle is also occasionally challenging in Whatcom since the cycling network is rather limited, and riding is rendered arduous by the typically steep topography.

Services
