Townline

Townline is a neighbourhood within Abbotsford, British Columbia, which is located in the Abbotsford - Mission metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a very good medium of transportation in Townline. It is easy to come across a parking spot, and most houses for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. However, this area is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically nearby. It is sometimes difficult for people walking to navigate this area since running common errands is at times challenging on foot. On the other hand, bicycling is convenient in this part of the city as there are a good number of bike lanes.

Services

The closest grocery store in Townline is generally only a rather short walk away. A small variety of restaurants and coffee shops is available as well. With regards to education, parents and their kids will find that no matter where their property is located in this part of Abbotsford, daycares and schools are nearby. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and high schools.

Character

People who prefer a calm atmosphere will enjoy Townline. This neighbourhood is especially quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, there are approximately 20 green spaces close by for residents to check out, such as Gardner Park and MacLure Trail Park, and they are very well-spread out, which makes them easy to get to.

Housing

Around half of dwellings are duplexes, making it easy to find duplexes in Townline, whereas the rest are mainly single detached homes. The homes in this neighbourhood are very new, since about 40% of its dwellings were constructed in the 1990s, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 2000s. This area offers mainly two bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Around 70% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 30% are rented.
