The neighbourhood of South Poplar is part of the city of Abbotsford, British Columbia, which is located in the Abbotsford - Mission metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is usually the favoured way to get around in South Poplar. It is very easy to park, and most houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. However, commuting by transit can be difficult in South Poplar by reason of the low service level. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally just around the corner. This area is not particularly conducive to bicycling since there are a good number of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is rather poor. Walking in South Poplar is also not very popular, although many common errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

A car is almost always needed in South Poplar to access the closest supermarket. Nonetheless, it is generally a reasonably short distance to the nearest pharmacy, which can supply some staple foods.
