Located within the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area, Avenir is a neighbourhood in St. Albert, Alberta.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent transportation option in Avenir. It is very easy to park. It is very impractical for pedestrians to move around in Avenir as many daily needs are challenging to meet on foot. Although there is a high density of bike riders, the bike is a somewhat poor means of transportation in this part of the city as the bicycling network is not very comprehensive, and the topography is not especially flat.

Services

Avenir does not have any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, there are only a limited number of daycares and accordingly they can be a long walk away. With respect to eating, buying one's groceries very often requires the use of a vehicle in this part of St. Albert.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a calm atmosphere will enjoy Avenir. Avenir is quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Single detached homes are the main housing type, representing roughly half of buildings in Avenir, and the rest of the dwellings are mainly townhouses.
