Westview Village

The neighbourhood of Westview Village is part of the city of Edmonton, Alberta, which is located in the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Westview Village is very car friendly. It is especially convenient to come across a place to park, and many homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway. On the other hand, the public transit service in this part of the city is not very frequent. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most residences. Although there are few elevation changes to confront bicycle riders, this part of the city is not very amenable to cycling since the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive. It is also impractical for pedestrians to get around in Westview Village since very few daily needs can be carried out by walking.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to buy groceries. However, a coffee shop is on average a rather short walk away. Regarding education, families will value that wherever their property is situated in this neighbourhood, daycares are close by. In contrast, Westview Village does not contain any primary schools or high schools.

Character

People who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy Westview Village. Westview Village is especially quiet overall, as the streets are usually very tranquil. Parks aren't well-distributed, which makes them occasionally difficult to get to. Still, residents will be able to access parks in nearby neighbourhoods.

Housing

Around 90% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented. Over half of the housing stock of this area is made up of single detached homes and townhouses, whereas the rest are mainly mobile homes.
