Sherwood is a neighbourhood within Calgary, Alberta, which is situated in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the best mode of transportation in this area. Finding a parking spot is generally easy, and nearby highways are very easy to access from anywhere in Sherwood. However, the public transit system in Sherwood is not very practical. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most houses. This part of Calgary is not very well-suited for walking as carrying out daily needs is difficult on foot. However, the bike is a fairly good mode of transportation in Sherwood as the cycling network is reasonably extensive.

Services

Reaching the closest supermarket by walking is an option for some, but not all, house buyers in Sherwood. Residents are served by a few restaurants and coffee shops as well. Regarding education, families will appreciate that no matter where their home is situated in Sherwood, both primary and secondary schools are close by. However, there are only a very small number of daycares and accordingly they can be a very long walk away.

Character

A majority of the housing growth in this part of the city has taken place following the year 2000. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
