Transportation

This area is especially car friendly. It is very convenient to access a parking spot, and most properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway. On the other hand, the public transit system in this area is not very accessible. This neighbourhood is not particularly appropriate for biking since the cycling network is rather poor. Thankfully, bicycle riders do not face serious slopes. Most homes for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are also not very well-suited for walking since most daily needs are difficult to carry out on foot.

Services

With respect to eating, some, but not all, home buyers in this part of Calgary will live within walking distance of the closest grocery store. However, a cafe is commonly just around the corner.

Character

People who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy Pine Creek. Pine Creek is very quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Parks aren't well-distributed, which results in them being sometimes hard to get to from a large number of locations in this part of the city. Still, residents will be able to access public green spaces in nearby neighbourhoods.

Housing

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing many buildings in Pine Creek, while townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This part of Calgary experienced its biggest construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this era. This area is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. About 90% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 10% are rented.
