Hidden Valley is a neighbourhood within Calgary, Alberta, which is located in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.

Transportation

Getting around by car is especially convenient in this neighbourhood. It is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from any home in this neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to find a parking spot. However, residents using public transit may have few choices in this part of the city due to the infrequent service. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not very suitable for those who travel by foot as very few daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. However, cycling is easy in Hidden Valley.

Services

Parents and their children will value that no matter where their property is situated in Hidden Valley, primary schools are nearby. In contrast, there are only a limited number of high schools and accordingly they can be a long walk away. Regarding food, a car is generally needed in this neighbourhood to access the nearest supermarket. A small number of restaurants are available in Hidden Valley as well.

Most housing in Hidden Valley was constructed between 1990 and 2000, during its largest building boom. In this area, about 85% of buildings are single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly townhouses. About 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 10% are rented. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
