Jonquière

The borough of Jonquière is part of the city of Saguenay, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Saguenay metropolitan area.

Transportation

Jonquière is an extremely good part of Saguenay for getting around by car. It is very convenient to find a place to park, and many houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute 70. On the other hand, Jonquière is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are approximately 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. It is at times difficult for pedestrians to move around in this borough as few common errands can be run on foot. It is also sometimes challenging to travel by bicycle in this part of Saguenay since Jonquière is home to a sometimes poor cycling infrastructure, and the area is not particularly flat.

Services

Some house buyers in Jonquière may be able to access one of about 10 supermarkets on foot, while others will need a vehicle. There are also a few opportunities for those who care about restaurants in close proximity. With respect to education, in Jonquière, parents and their schoolchildren will usually be able to get to daycares and primary schools on foot.
