Transportation

This part of Montréal is an excellent neighbourhood for environmentally friendly transportation options. Père-Marquette will draw active people because it is very suitable for walking; meeting daily needs is very convenient, and many businesses are quite close by. This neighbourhood will also attract physically active house buyers since it is especially suited for bicycling. More specifically, this area features a very good bicycling infrastructure, and cyclists do not encounter serious elevation changes. Thanks to Fabre Station on the Ligne 5 - Bleue, and about 10 nearby bus lines, the public transit system in Père-Marquette is very good. In contrast, cars are a somewhat poor means of transportation in this neighbourhood. That being said, it is a rather short car ride to the closest highway from any location in Père-Marquette.
