Transportation

This part of the city enables homeowners to move around by a diversity of methods of transportation. Thanks to Île-des-Sœurs with access to the Gare Centrale - Brossard, and a few nearby bus lines, getting around by public transit is convenient in this neighbourhood. Nuns' Island is also a fairly convenient part of Montréal for pedestrians; many common errands can be run without the use of a car. Cycling is adopted in Nuns' Island as riding a bicycle is made easier by the generally flat terrain, and the cycling network is very good.

Services

House buyers in Nuns' Island will value that a grocery store is always only a rather short walk away. Additionally, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe in close proximity, for instance along Place du Commerce. This neighbourhood is quiet overall, as the streets tend to be quite peaceful - although there are still several noisier areas, especially around Autoroute 15 or Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est.

The sizeable proportion of large apartment buildings in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. This neighbourhood experienced its main construction boom after the year 2000, so most of the available housing is from this era. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of one bedroom and two bedroom homes.
